Industrial Cyber Security Workshop

The College of Engineering at the University of Bahrain, in co-operation with Multi-National Emerson Company, organizes a workshop about Industrial Cyber Security. The free registration is open to students and faculty.

Cyberattacks on computer-controlled industrial systems have a higher risk to safety than their IT counterparts due to the nature of the process. The Industrial Control Systems (ICS), including Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) are found in many process industries such as Chemical, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, etc. The workshop will provide an overview of how to address compliance to standards and best practices for securing the DeltaV Process Control System and Integrated Safety System architecture.
